Lahmard Tate

Lahmard Tate was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. Tate kickstarted his acting career with films like "Barfly" (1987) with Mickey Rourke and Faye Dunaway, the Ricky Schroder film "Across the Tracks" (1991) and "Jason's Lyric" (1994) with Allen Payne and Jada Pinkett Smith. He had a part on the television special "Without a Pass" (Showtime, 1991-92). He also appeared in the TV movie "Seeds of Tragedy" (Fox, 1990-91). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Roc" (Fox, 1990-94). He continued to act in productions like the Kadeem Hardison dramatic adaptation "Panther" (1995), the comedy "Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" (1996) with Shawn Wayans and the Bruce Willis dramatic adaptation "Breakfast of Champions" (1999). He also was featured in the TV movies "Little Richard" (NBC, 1999-2000) and "Sabretooth" (Syfy, 2002-03). Tate most recently acted in "Rocky Balboa" (2006).
