Lauren Blumenfeld was an American actress best known for her recurring roles on the television shows "Nightcap" (Pop, 2016- ) and "Doubt" (CBS, 2017). As a native of Los Angeles, Blumenfeld was surrounded by the entertainment industry seemingly from birth. She always wanted to be an actress and when she was still a very young girl she booked her first role in the 1995 fantasy drama "A Little Princess." That film, which was directed by Alfonso Cuaron, went on to be nominated for two Academy Awards. After the success of her debut film performance, Blumenfeld took a hiatus from screen acting to embark on a career as a New York stage actress. She moved to New York City and started attending the Experimental Theatre Wing at NYU, thus forming her appreciation for various avant-garde theatrical productions. From there, Blumenfeld began appearing in several Off-Broadway plays, and quickly gained the attention of casting agents around NYC. She started going in for film and TV auditions, nearly 15 years after "The Little Princess" premiered, and before long was booking small roles in films and on TV. Her first recurring role came on the procedural crime drama "Unforgettable" (CBS/A&E, 2011-16), and after that she nabbed a guest spot on "Limitless" (CBS, 2015-16). 2016 proved to be Blumenfeld's breakout year. In addition to joining the cast of the satirical comedy show "Nightcap," she also nabbed a recurring part on the CBS legal drama "Doubt." That show, which starred Katherine Heigl, premiered on the network in January of 2017.
