Lily Holleman
A Washington, D.C. native, actress Lily Holleman attended that city's prep school for girls, the National Cathedral School, before moving on to Lexington, Virginia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in art history from Washington & Lee University. Her acting studies took her beyond the East Coast, venturing to England for classical training and honing her improv craft with the comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade in New York before settling in Los Angeles. There, she quickly established herself as a versatile theatrical actress specializing in troubled young women, including an 11-year-old girl who builds explosives in Sheila Callaghan's 2005 play "Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake)" and her turn as a pregnant teen in Mickey Birnbaum's 2007 drama, "Bleed Rail." That year also saw Holleman tackle a very different kind of part as one of eight Christopher Walken impersonators in the unconventional production "All About Walken," which became a long-running Monday night staple of Los Angeles theater. On film, Holleman's biggest role to date was as yet another tormented adolescent, self-mutilating teen Catherine in the 2010 drama "@urFRENZ," while her television parts have ranged from playing various characters opposite comedienne Tracey Ullman in the sketch series "State of the Union" to heavy dramatics as a meth addict on the cop show "Southland."
