Lynne Lipton
Lynne Lipton is an American actress of film, stage, and television, who is best known for her voiceover work on the seminal 1980s cartoon "Thundercats." She attended Adelphi College - now Adelphi University - in Garden City, NY, where she was a dance major. In the early 1970s she appeared in a few films, including the dog-starring family comedy "Mooch Goes to Hollywood" and " I Could Never Have Sex with Any Man Who Has So Little Regard for My Husband," a little known sex farce. During the early and mid-1970s she also appeared in a Broadway production of the revival of "Sherlock Holmes" and the play "Boom Boom Room." In 1985, Lipton was cast as Cheetara on the beloved animated action series "Thundercats." She would go on to voice a number of other characters on the show that proved to be short-lived. Though the show only ran from 1985 to 1986, its 92 episodes were cherished by fans and lived on in reruns that were seen by millions. After a one-off in the radio station-set TV comedy "FM," Lipton disappeared from television until the 2000s, when she resurfaced in parts on "Law & Order" and its spin-off "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," and reprised the role of Cheetara in the pop culture referencing cartoon, "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story."
