Mathilde Comont was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Comont's earliest roles were in film, including "Rosita" (1923), "Mademoiselle Midnight" (1924) and the adventure "The Thief of Bagdad" (1924) with Douglas Fairbanks. She also appeared in "La Boheme" (1926). She continued to act in productions like "The Girl From Montmartre" (1926), "What Price Glory" (1926) and the drama "Loves of Carmen" (1927) with Dolores Del Rio. She also appeared in "Ramona" (1928). Nearing the end of her career, she continued to act in "The Cuban Love Song" (1931), "Laughing at Life" (1933) and "Escapade" (1935). She also appeared in the Fredric March adventure "Anthony Adverse" (1936). Comont last acted in the Shirley Temple Black musical "The Poor Little Rich Girl" (1936). Comont passed away in June 1938 at the age of 52.
