Wilella Waldorf New York Post Some vigorous plying of scissors to the tasteless areas and The Sea Beast could be made into a better-than-average-program picture. Sep 22, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Much like Moby Dick himself, The Sea Beast is no easy task to hunt down. The only DVD version of it that exists was released by TeleVista in 2007. Unfortunately, this version of the film is a total scam. It is poorly restored and the original score has been replaced with a variety of different music, ranging from orchestral to techno, that often doesn't fit the action of the movie at all. Regardless, this is not the original film's fault. However, The Sea Beast still lacks a considerable amount of polish. While the first and last half hour are reasonably entertaining, everything in the middle slows down to nearly a complete halt, making the two-hour movie feel like it drags on much longer than it does. The Sea Beast means well and passionately attempts to tell the story of Moby Dick, but it ultimately falls short of its mark. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
