Michael McMillian

Michael McMillian's Midwestern, baby-faced charm helped make his supporting roles on the sitcom "What I Like About You" and the horror drama "True Blood" memorable. After attending the Interlochen Arts Academy and Carnegie Mellon University, McMillan was spotted by a talent scout and soon began acting, primarily in bit roles on television. In 2003 he played Amanda Bynes's character's boyfriend on the big sister/little sister sitcom "What I Like About You"; he was even able to pen one episode of the show. The role put him in the public eye, and soon played the lead in the coming-out indie comedy "Dorian Blues" and co-starred in TNT's short-lived medical drama "Saved." McMillian returned to film after this, as the lead in the terrifying horror sequel "The Hills Have Eyes II." His innocent, cherubic look helped him gain the part for which he may be best remembered, on the second season of Alan Ball's vampire show, "True Blood." His role as Steve Newlin, anti-vampire leader of a religious cult, won him more fans and huge exposure, and he quickly earned the lead in the fantasy drama "Half-Dragon Sanchez."
