Claudio C Aug 1 Banshee Chapter (2013) There Are Similar and Better Movies from the 70’s and 80’s (11,867 – 31 Jul 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In the 70’s and 80’s, several movies about secret experiments using drugs from the US Government and the CIA affecting ordinary people were released. Therefore, the story of “Banshee Chapter” (2013) has no originality. The low quality of filming and lighting of “Banshee Chapter” are other points to be highlighted. The acting of Katia Winter and Ted Levine are excellent but not enough t hold the poor story. If I may give some advice, do not waste your time watching this film since there are better options. However, the found-footage/documentary aspect gets old very quickly and since every shot in the movie is hand-held, stylistically the choice makes little sense. Extra point for Katia Winter, though. But it took a quick and out-of-the-ordinary turn in the last quarter, and the ending wasn't what I was expecting. I also appreciate that the writing trusts the viewer to infer information, though I don't know how effective that is with today's audience, unfortunately. In my opinion, this movie is worth sticking with to the end. I was thinking about it for 24 hours afterward. Tem uma protagonista com um motivo fútil super corajosa, afinal quem vai para o meio do deserto sozinha onde estações de rádio suspeitas possuem sinal forte, somente para descobrir o que aconteceu com um amigo? Ou se coloca em risco de experimentar uma droga mortal pelo mesmo fim. Aliás esse filme está cheio de furos no roteiro com erros ridículos que chegam a irritar, é difícil levar esse filme a sério.
