Michael Copon
Michael Copon is the quintessential actor/model, with an early list of credits made up of eye-candy-oriented fare and his tall, dark, handsomeness is made only more exotic by his half-Filipino, half-European ancestry. In 2001, less than a year out of high school, Copon was cast as one of the leads on "Power Rangers Time Force," a later incarnation of the kids-oriented action-adventure franchise. Following minimal activity over the next few years, Copon landed a recurring role on the CW high school drama "One Tree Hill" in 2004, appearing on 11 episodes and gaining some helpful momentum. This led to the addition of film roles and guest spots on everything from the Disney comedy "That's So Raven" to Comedy Central's cop parody "Reno 911!." In 2006, Copon added a beach-genre show to his quiver, playing a love interest of one of the main surfer girls on "Beyond the Break," a drama about four girls' quest to become pro surfers, likely a concept derived from the "Rocky"-esque, chick surf film "Blue Crush" (2002). Copon's film career, which began in 2005, has tended towards straight-to-video fare; indeed, his biggest role has come as the warrior Mathayus in the 2008 action-fantasy video "The Scorpion King: Rise of a Warrior." Another starring role, from 2010, could well describe another variant of Copon's casting type: he portrayed Brad, a star football quarterback turned boy-band leader in the comedy "Boyband."
