Michael Higgins
Michael Higgins was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Higgins appeared in such films as the Lee Grant drama "Pie in the Sky" (1964), "The Arrangement" (1969) with Kirk Douglas and the Shirley MacLaine horror movie "Desperate Characters" (1971). He also appeared in "Wanda" (1971), the Gene Hackman mystery "The Conversation" (1974) and the horror flick "The Stepford Wives" (1975) with Katharine Ross. He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the drama sequel "Staying Alive" (1983) with John Travolta, the action movie "Rumble Fish" (1983) with Matt Dillon and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" (1985). He also appeared in the Lucinda Dickey musical "Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo" (1985). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in "Wind" (1992), the dramatic period piece "School Ties" (1992) with Brendan Fraser and "The Impostors" (1998) with Stanley Tucci. He also appeared in "Just the Ticket" (1999) and the comedic drama "State and Main" (2000) with Alec Baldwin. Higgins was most recently credited in "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" (Fox, 2011-12). Higgins passed away in November 2008 at the age of 88.
