Morven Macbeth
Primarily a theatrical performer, Scottish actress Morven Macbeth's background included training in ballet and tumbling before her arrival at London's Academy Drama School in 2000. In 2003, she received her first stage part in a revival of the sexually-charged drama "Dangerous Liaisons," and her subsequent theatrical experiences have included working as a puppeteer. Her most notable film appearance to date came in the 2007 horror drama "Vampire Diary" as Holly, an aspiring documentarian interested in capturing goth culture. Soon she is involved with the entrancing Vicki, whom she initially thinks just dresses up like a vampire, only to realize she's the real deal. A low-budget effort, "Vampire Diary," received numerous awards at the Milan International Film Festival and garnered praise for its trashy enjoyability. By far the most important work of her career has come with the English theater troupe imitating the dog. For six years, Macbeth took the lead in their innovative production "Hotel Methuselah," in which audiences view the action through a letterboxed frame that cuts off heads and feet. In the realm of more traditional theater, she took the role of unhappy housewife Alison Porter in a 2010 revival of the classic drama "Look Back In Anger."
