British-born actress Patricia Routledge found a second home in the Hollywood cinema, starring in a number of successful films throughout her Hollywood career. Routledge kickstarted her acting career in various films such as the Sidney Poitier drama "To Sir With Love" (1967), the Dudley Moore comedy adaptation "30 Is a Dangerous Age, Cynthia" (1968) and the action flick "Don't Raise the Bridge, Lower the River" (1968) with Jerry Lewis. She also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Pretty Polly" (1968) with Hayley Mills, the comedic adaptation "The Bliss of Mrs. Blossom" (1968) with Shirley MacLaine and the Suzanne Pleshette comedy "If It's Tuesday, This Must Be Belgium" (1969). Her film career continued throughout the sixties and the nineties in productions like "Lock Up Your Daughters!" (1969), "The Imitation Game" (1980) and "First and Last" (1994). She also appeared in the TV special "The Curse of King Tut's Tomb" (NBC, 1979-1980). She also lent her voice to "The Tale of Tom Kitten and Jemima Puddle-Duck" (Family Channel Studios, 1993-94). Additionally, she could be seen on a variety of television specials like "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates" (1997-98), "Christmas Glory With Kiri Te Kanawa" (PBS, 1998-99) and "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates II" (PBS, 1998-99). She also appeared in "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates III" (PBS, 1999-2000) and "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates IV" (PBS, 2000-01). Most recently, Routledge appeared in "Talking Heads 2: Miss Fozzard Finds Her Feet" (PBS, 2000-01).
