Audience Member ok comic vehicle 4 Lewis Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is all over the place. I don't even know where to begin. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Briskly paced British film, not hilarious, some may not be amused either. Jerry Lewis is portrayed from the beginning as a confidence man, a quick sell artist. He can't understand why his British wife wants a divorce. George Lester (Jerry Lewis) is an American living in Britain. His passion is get-rich-quick schemes, and they have caused financial and personal grief for him and his wife, Pamela, (Jacqueline Pearce) who is considering divorce if he continues with them. Jerry and wife discuss their messy life The film itself is well done and the actress is great to look at as she is the nearly divorced wife of Jerry. So I found her a sweet distraction from the movie as a whole and Jerry's suave, black tie character. But the film loses me on credibility when Jerry schemes to turn a country mansion of his wealty wife into a chinese discoteque. The highlight is watching British comic Terry Thomas in the film working with Jerry on their next criminal act. Thomas was well known to the American public by this time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Dull and dated Lewis farce. There are some wild visuals on occasion, mostly due to some groovy set design, but it's not very good over all.
