Philip Ford directed many successful films over the course of his Hollywood career. Ford received his start directing films, including work on "The Mysterious Mr. Valentine" (1946) and "Valley of the Zombies" (1946) with Robert Livingston. In the forties and the fifties, Ford directed "Angel in Exile" (1948), "Prince of the Plains" (1949) and "Redwood Forest Trail" (1950). Later in his career, Ford directed "Lassie" (CBS, 1954-1974). Ford passed away in January 1976 at the age of 76.
