Raymond Singer rose to fame as an actor, gracing the silver screen many times over the course of his Hollywood career. Singer's acting career began mostly with his roles in various films, such as "Bloodbrothers" (1978), the comedy "It's My Turn" (1980) with Jill Clayburgh and "The Entity" (1982). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Call of the Wild" (NBC, 1975-76). He had an early role on the television special "Local 306" (NBC, 1975-76). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "M*A*S*H" (CBS, 1972-1983). He kept working in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, starring in the William Shatner smash hit action flick "Star Trek IV" (1986), the Rebecca De Mornay action film "Feds" (1988) and the horror sequel "Child's Play 2" (1990) with Alex Vincent. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Mama Malone" (CBS, 1983-84). More recently, he continued to act in the Ken Wahl action picture "The Taking of Beverly Hills" (1991). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Sisters" (1990-96). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Heroes of Desert Storm" (ABC, 1991-92). Most recently, Singer wrote "Iron Jawed Angels" (HBO, 2003-04). Singer was nominated for an Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special Primetime Emmy Award for "Iron Jawed Angels" in 2004.
