Rémi Bezançon
French director Rémi Bezançon went from a relatively obscure filmmaker, with only a few short films under his belt, to a critically acclaimed director in an unusually short amount of time. After studying at the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle and the École du Louvre in Paris, Bezançon went on to direct three short films, "Little Italie," "Vikings," and "Paraboles." His first foray in feature filmmaking was as a writer for Jean-Claude Jean's 2004 film "Women for Sale." And then in 2005, Bezançon released his first feature-length film, "Ma Vie en l'Air," a comedy about the romance between a man with a phobia of flying and his attractive neighbor. Three years later he directed and wrote "The First Day of the Rest of Your Life," his second feature film, which was met with both critical praise and commercial success. Skipping through time, the film follows the events of five significant days in the lives of a family over the span of 12 years. For his efforts, Bezançon was nominated for a César Awards. The director has also collaborated with the popular French musician Sinclair, who scored the first two of his feature films.
