Richard Hamilton

Richard Hamilton took his talents as a football legend off the field and into the star-studded world of entertainment. Hamilton's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Ladybug, Ladybug" (1963) with June Connell, "Greetings" (1968) with Jonathan Warden and "The Hospital" (1971) with George C Scott. He also appeared in "Fathers of Pop" (1979) and "Resurrection" (1980). He kept working in film throughout the eighties, starring in the Goldie Hawn comedy "Protocol" (1984), the Andrew McCarthy dramedy "Heaven Help Us" (1985) and the John Cusack comedy "The Sure Thing" (1985). He also appeared in the Clint Eastwood action flick "Pale Rider" (1985). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the comedy "Painted Heart" (1993) with Will Patton, the action picture "On Deadly Ground" (1994) with Steven Seagal and the Tommy Lee Jones box office smash sci-fi flick "Men in Black" (1997). He also appeared in "Home Alone 3" (1997) and the comedic drama "Reach the Rock" (1998) with William Sadler. Hamilton last acted in the comedy "Death to Smoochy" (2002) with Robin Williams. Hamilton passed away in December 2004 at the age of 84.
