Robert Rietty

Robert Rietty was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Rietty began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the drama "No Time to Die" (1958) with Victor Mature, the comedy "The Truth About Women" (1958) with Laurence Harvey and "The Boy Who Stole a Million" (1960). He also appeared in "Light in the Piazza" (1962), "The Bible" (1966) and the Michael Caine crime flick "The Italian Job" (1969). He kept working in film throughout the seventies, starring in the Glenda Jackson drama "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" (1971), the Julie Harris biopic "The Hiding Place" (1975) and the horror film "The Omen" (1976) with Gregory Peck. Rietty continued to exercise his talent in the eighties, taking on a mix of projects like "Love With a Perfect Stranger" (Showtime, 1986-87), "I Miei Primi Quarant'Anni" with Carol Alt (1987) and "Madame Sousatzka" (1988) starring Shirley MacLaine. His credits also expanded to "Eversmile, New Jersey" (1989) and "Quicker Than the Eye" with Ben Gazzara (1989). Rietty more recently appeared in "The March" (1991-92).
