      Ruth Robinson was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in her acting career, Robinson landed roles in various films, including "The Walking Dead" (1936), "China Clipper" (1936) with Pat O'Brien and the biopic "The Story of Louis Pasteur" (1936) with Paul Muni. She also appeared in the mystery "The Case of the Velvet Claws" (1936) with Warren William, "Roll Along Cowboy" (1937) and "On Such a Night" (1937). Her film career continued throughout the thirties and the forties in productions like "The Lone Wolf in Paris" (1938), the Pat O'Brien biopic "Knute Rockne - All American" (1940) and the western "Across the Sierras" (1941) with Billy Elliott. She also appeared in "The Corsican Brothers" (1941) with Douglas Fairbanks Jr.. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "The Kid Sister" (1945), "Delightfully Dangerous" (1945) and "That Hagen Girl" (1947). She also appeared in the Lloyd Bridges crime picture "Trapped" (1949) and the Teresa Wright drama "The Search For Bridey Murphy" (1956). Robinson was most recently credited in "Motown 30: What's Goin' On!" (CBS, 1990-91). Robinson passed away in March 1966 at the age of 79.
