Sarah Edwards
Sarah Edwards was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Edwards started her acting career landing roles in such films as "Glorifying the American Girl" (1929), "The World Accuses" (1935) and "The Golden Arrow" (1936). She also appeared in "Women Are Like That" (1937), "It's Love I'm After" (1937) and the Shirley Temple Black dramatic comedy "Young People" (1940). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties, appearing in "Miss Polly" (1941), the Gene Autry musical "Sunset in Wyoming" (1941) and "Mr. District Attorney" (1941). Toward the end of her career, she tackled roles in "Where Are Your Children?" (1944), the adaptation "The Adventures of Mark Twain" (1944) with Fredric March and the Deanna Durbin comedy "Lady on a Train" (1945). She also appeared in "The Main Street Kid" (1948) and the fantastical comedy "The Bishop's Wife" (1948) with Cary Grant. Edwards was most recently credited in "Science of Seduction" (TLC, 2000-01). Edwards passed away in January 1965 at the age of 84.
