Seymour Robbie

Seymour Robbie worked as a television director for over 35 years on a wide range of primetime programming. He made his directorial debut on the 1951 series "Down You Go," and soon landed steady work on such shows as "The $64,000 Question" and " The Man from U.N.C.L.E.." By 1966 Robbie was a highly sought-after TV director and worked on such popular series as "F Troop," "The Green Hornet," and "Mister Roberts." In 1968 he helmed several episodes of the tropical police drama "Hawaii Five-0" and next worked on the gritty "Mannix" and the pop culture phenomenon "The Mod Squad." During the '70s Robbie served as an episodic director on such shows as "The Streets of San Francisco" and "The New Adventures of Wonder Woman," and directed multiple hours of the mystery series "Ellery Queen" and the AARP-targeted "Barnaby Jones." From 1980 to 1982 Robbie directed numerous episodes of the "M.A.S.H." spin-off series "Trapper John, M.D.," and worked on over 15 episodes each of the private detective series "Remington Steele" and the small-town mystery series "Murder, She Wrote." His last directing credit was on the 1990 drama "Father Dowling Mysteries."
