In 1986, Tessa Ferrer was born into a well-established Hollywood family. Her father was Gabriel Ferrer, himself the son of Jose Ferrer and Rosemary Clooney. Her mother was singer Debby Boone, the daughter of singer Pat Boone. After acting in a number of short films Ferrer landed a multi-episode arc on the show "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-) playing Dr. Leah Murphy, a role that would eventually become a series regular. During her hiatuses, Ferrer managed to play a small roles in films like "Go For Sisters" (2013), directed by the legendary John Sayles, and the slasher film "Abducted" (2013). She had a multi-episode arc on the Halle Berry sci-fi series "Extant" (CBS, 2014-15), then another multi-episode arc on "You're the Worst" (FX, 2014-). Ferrer continued to make supporting appearances in both film and TV, with roles in "Insidious: The Last Key" (2018), as well as parts in the series "Mr. Mercedes" (Audience, 2017-) and the announced "Catch-22" (Hulu, 2019-) produced, starring and directed by George Clooney.
