Audience Member An exquisitely-rendered story of an emerging young playwright, who, in trying to find her more mature voice, also endeavors to find her better self, propelled by the strains and the comforts of her relationships with family, friends, lovers and fellow artists. Watching the brilliant Tessa Ferrer sort all this out is a joy. Expressively filmed in black and white, sensitively scripted and acted, and eloquently understated, The Passing Parade is patently American, but, resonates with the romance of the French New Wave and the playfulness of commedia all'italiana.
