Vera Marshe was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Marshe's earliest roles were in film, including the Dennis O'Keefe comedic adaptation "Getting Gertie's Garter" (1945), the comedy "The Affairs of Susan" (1945) with Joan Fontaine and "The Phantom of 42nd Street" (1945). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the Alan Ladd thriller "The Blue Dahlia" (1946), the Charlie Chaplin comedy "Monsieur Verdoux" (1947) and the drama "The Hucksters" (1947) with Clark Gable. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Where There's Life" (1947), the comedy "You Gotta Stay Happy" (1949) with Joan Fontaine and the George Montgomery western adventure "Davy Crockett, Indian Scout" (1950). Marshe last acted in the Alan Ladd dramatic biopic "The McConnell Story" (1955). Marshe passed away in March 1984 at the age of 79.
