William Challee was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Challee started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Days of Glory" (1944), "Destination Tokyo" (1944) and the mystery "Deadline at Dawn" (1946) with Susan Hayward. He also appeared in the documentary "Boomerang" (1947) with Dana Andrews, the drama "Sea of Grass" (1947) with Spencer Tracy and "Desperate" (1947) with Steve Brodie. His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Robert Cummings historical drama "The Black Book" (1949), the Mala Powers drama "Outrage" (1950) and the romance "This Woman Is Dangerous" (1952) with Joan Crawford. He also appeared in the James Stewart biopic "The Glenn Miller Story" (1954). Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the drama "The Story on Page One" (1960) with Rita Hayworth, the drama "The Cincinnati Kid" (1965) with Steve McQueen and "Billy the Kid vs. Dracula" (1966). He also appeared in the Jack Nicholson drama "Five Easy Pieces" (1970) and the John Rubinstein musical "Zachariah" (1970). Challee last appeared in "James A. Michener's "Dynasty"" (NBC, 1975-76). Challee passed away in March 1989 at the age of 85.
