William Lava

Over the duration of his Hollywood career, William Lava produced music for multiple Hollywood productions. Lava began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like the John Wayne western "Santa Fe Stampede" (1938), the western "Red River Range" (1938) with John Wayne and "Dick Tracy's G-Men" (1939). His music also appeared in "Daredevils of the Red Circle" (1939) and the western "Wyoming Outlaw" (1939) with John Wayne. In the fifties, Lava's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Randolph Scott western "Colt.45" (1950), the Steve Cochran drama "Highway 301" (1951) and "Inside the Walls of Folsom Prison" (1951). His work was also in "The Tanks Are Coming" (1951). Lava's music was also featured in "Assignment to Kill" (1968) with Patrick O'Neal, the western "The Good Guys and the Bad Guys" (1969) with Robert Mitchum and the Mel Blanc animated movie "Looney Looney Looney Bugs Bunny Movie" (1981). His music was also featured in "Bugs Bunny's 3rd Movie: 1001 Rabbit Tales" (1982) with Friz Freleng and the Mel Blanc animated film "Daffy Duck's Movie: Fantastic Island" (1983). Lava was most recently credited in the dramatic comedy "A Serious Man" (2009) with Michael Stuhlbarg. Lava passed away in February 1971 at the age of 60.
