Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Most of these movies (including Good Guys) haven't been very good, but Mitchum has almost always been good in them. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 23, 2004 Full Review Richard Schickel LIFE There are, in this film, quite a few visual and thematic references to its betters -- notably High Noon and Ride the High County -- but they only emphasize the witlessness of the script, the slackness of the acting and the tired... direction. j f Greatest generation griping about boomers, all while showing them some real what for. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Spoof Western with magnificent duo starring and lots of good old fun--For Those Who Like To Have Fun!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Aging Marshall Robert Mitchum goes after aging outlaw and longtime foe George Kennedy in this silly western/comedy from director Burt Kennedy. I always like westerns about old timers having to deal with the changing west, but this film is hardly "The Wild Bunch" or "Ride the High Country." Still, it's entertaining enough for Mitchum fans and has a decent cast that includes Martin Balsam, David Carradine, Tina Louise, John Carradine, Marie Windsor, Buddy Hackett and Christopher Mitchum. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member was expecting more of this western especially with robert mitchum in it but kind of just there really :/ the comedy was decent but ultimately just falls flat. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Average western for the period. Sold as partial comedy slap stick. I have always been a fan of George Kennedy.
