Susan Wloszczyna RogerEbert.com Nothing will break your heart as much as watching this man, desperate to keep this woman in his life, waltzing around the room with a laptop in his arms while staring into her faraway eyes. kinsos e I don't like it. The actor play the role very good but the things is, the character they play is too much anoying to me like the producer made the chracter looks stupid and brainless. The worst part is they're both talking too much, i don't think people will keep talking in panic situation but the producer made the man a talkative person and at the same time he's idiot. What is a musician doing in space anyway, did they sing or play a music to an alien? What a joke. If a musician were sent to space they surely on contract for some reason and trainned enough of survival skill so he should know what to do being in that situation instead of being idiot. This movie doesn't deserve a compliment👎👎👎👎👎 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review isla s I thought this was really quite dull overall. It's hardly an original story and I got quite bored mid way through. The characters are nice enough but it's pretty predictable and didn't really 'grab' me. I suppose the script is fairly decent, there are some fairly poignant pieces of dialogue, though there are other times when little is said at all and there's not much content there...I guess it could move some people, it is sad to see how things change but I didn't find it exactly surprising or anything. The performances are good but it's pretty slow, plot pace wise. If anything appealed to me about it, I'd say its the technology aspect - relying on the internet, Google street view, photos etc. for her to convey what she's seeing and doing, is interesting. I suppose after the COVID19 lockdowns, people have been forced to rely on technology to stay in touch with others. I didn't mind that part of the story but I wouldn't say this film is primarily about the power or ability of technology to maintain a relationship alone. It's only a part of it, if that makes any sense. It's thoughtful but I think it's a bit too sparse for my liking really. I imagine some may regard it as quietly devastating but I'm not sure I really felt that, personally. I can see what they were getting at though. Overall I wouldn't recommend it as such, no. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Late R The story itself isn't particularly interesting and constricts itself to two rooms and two actors, and there are a number of scenes where you really feel that. Nevertheless, those two actors deliver dedicated performances (Natalia Tena is just outstandingly good) that ensures that, along with Marques-Marcet's directing and editing, ‘10,000 km' captures what one would imagine are the trials and tribulations of a long distance relationship with a strong sense of realism and intimacy (you really feel like your intruding on very private matters and emotions) that manages to be relatable, regardless of whether or not you've ever been in a LDR. At times it might not be the most exciting thing to watch, but ultimately, it is affecting and does an impressive job of expressing a certain type of pain that most people will be familiar with. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/22 Full Review Audience Member In Spanish, slow, BAD Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member this film was great.the premise is a little sad but the story as a whole is very captivating.last week I saw Z for Zachariah with only 3 actors through the entire movie, this one only had 2...I guess I should rewatch All is lost with Robert Redford now... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Really liked the setting of the film - not so verbal... Emotions are conveyed very clearly trough close ups and silence. Very calm but in a smothering sort of way, emotions are kept beneath the surface which makes it so appealing. Reminded me a bit of "lie with me" - something in the atmosphere and general romantic sadness. Very recommended. Great acting by Natalia Tenna and David Verdaguer.
