Zinjx W Nothing is certain in a long marriage, when you fall in love again. Trustworthy take in this part of life. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review kevin c Gene Hackman's life is turned upside down when he's demoted at his job and begins an affair with a married woman played by Barbara Streisand who is also seeing his son played by Dennis Quaid. This is filled with familiar faces such as Kevin Dobson, William Daniels, Dianne Ladd and so many more. Very good comedy/drama from the early eighties. Anything with Gene Hackman is pretty decent at least. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is no great piece of cinematic art, but it is also undeserving of these low ratings. This is an American "adult comedy" that feels rather French. At the time the movie was fatally advertised as a "sexy" Streisand movie. It is not. This is a quiet and sweet study of a man facing a loveless marriage, unemployment and loneliness as he moves into his middle age. Gene Hackman delivers his typical flawless and realistically comic work. Streisand is surprisingly understated in a supporting role. Bad Hollywood marketing campaign aside, this little movie about a man pursuing his dreams is actually quite charming. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Yes, it is very slight but Barbra is doing something pretty brave here and Gene Hackman is adorable. It's just 88 minutes so give it a go. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member quirky movie w/ hackman and streisand. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Slight but quirky comedy, directed with a certain European sensibility, with Gene Hackman as a middle manager who walks out on his boring desk job to run the night-shift at a drugstore, and making the moves on his son's lover, who turns out to be married. The scenes in the drugstore come off better than the love scenes with Streisand, who was a last minute cast change. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Some movies seem to bring their own moods with them, and the mood of All Night Long is dispirited mopery. Here's a movie with a high-energy cast and a promising comic plot, and the director seems to be aiming for the bittersweet. Rated: 2/4 Oct 23, 2004 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Gene Hackman is typically on point, but this is a muddled and meandering film that's sabotaged by embarrassing comic interludes and a woefully miscast Barbra Streisand. Rated: 2/4 May 30, 2020 Full Review Larry Vitacco Philadelphia Gay News Low-keyed comedic action matched against well-realized characterizations make All Night Long one of this year's brightest, urbanely sophisticated romantic comedies.
