Jennie Punter Globe and Mail A predictable ride from the get-go. Rated: 2/4 Feb 8, 2008 Full Review Philip Marchand Toronto Star [The unhappy characters] are not richly developed, but it seems characteristic of this genre to highlight one-dimensional individuals. Rated: 2/4 Feb 8, 2008 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a well-intentioned misfire... Rated: 2/4 Oct 18, 2008 Full Review Brian Gibson Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Alberta) While the acting is often fine, the setting and storylines don't have enough depth to be original. . . . for all its smooth touches and sharp emotions, this Canadian film still [doesn't have] enough big-screen originality. Apr 11, 2008 Full Review Liz Braun Jam! Movies It's actually kind of depressing to watch good actors wasted in this fashion. Rated: 2/5 Feb 8, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Cliche driven bore fest. Unwatchable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Awful. God awful. Carl Bessai should never be given permission to use either a pen or a camera again. Worst movie I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. Awful. Carrie-Anne Moss was the lone bright spot but nobody can come out of this movie, actor or audience member with their head held high. I am embarrassed I wasted an hour and a half of my life on this mess. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member "Normal" stars Carrie Anne Moss (The Matrix series) and Callum Keith Rennie (Due South tv series) as two of a group of people who are all dealing with the consequences of a tragedy. A film that seems like a "slice of life" in a way...it follows several people who don't seem related but then by the end it is revealed how their lives intersected and were affected by one another and it is a pretty good film. This film explores their lives separately and together then gradually reveals how each person's life is intertwined with the others. There are scenes that might not be appealing to some people and it isn't what one would refer to as a "happily ever after" kind of film, not that Hollywood nor Canada have been "guilty" of making many such films... 7 out of 10! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member nothing/nobody in this movie's normal... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Well made and well acted but why do I care? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting and emotional drama about a group of people connected by a horrific event they were all somehow envolved in. Kevin Zegers stands out in "Normal". You might know him from "Transamerica" or more recently "The Jane Austen Book Club". You might even remember him from "Air Bud". A fine actor.
