Shailesh C great actors but the movie was shit asf, didnt laugh the whole movie, i had to force myself to find something funny.... Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Audience Member actually a very funny and still heart-filled romantic Bollywood film Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham are Sam and Kunal living in Miami, Florida one's a nurse the other is a professional model photographer, they both are looking for a cheap place to live and stumble upon a high-end apartment it's in their price range and conveniant however, there are no men allowed only women so they both hatch a plan pretending to be a same-sex couple to avoid complications the woman who owns the place has a niece, Nehal (Priyanka Chopra) and turns out she's beautiful, but neither of them can do anything about it or risk getting kicked out this movie has that 'Three's Company' element which does make the scenario very funny in a few spots now both of these guys have to keep up their image but also deal with the harsh reality that they are hopelessly in love with her Nehal is also working at a successful fashion design company and she wants to be more recognized for her talent along the way she also ends up falling for her boss which leads to further complications for Sam and Kunal maybe being something else isn't so bad, if it means having friends, family and a source of happyness that should count for something, sometimes friendship means more than lying or conning your way into something, something such as this rarely is part of any plan we have in motion, the most unexpected things can come from anywhere and anyone the cast is attractive, the music is top-notch and catchy, the dance sequences like any Bollywood production are shiny and well-staged, and the movie for a while avoids so many cliches you'd expect from this kind of sitcom plot a very worthy addition in the endless collection of Indian-based cinema Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Ahmed M The movie has a good plot and is hilarious. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/16 Full Review Audience Member Bit Like An Episode Of "The Wiggles" With The Well-Worn 'We're Not Really Gay' Joke Going On...For A Very Long, Loooong..Time.. & It Draws To A Conclusion In A Staggered Way, Gets Boring. Then You're Jerked Awake With A Very Loud Bollywood Musical Bit. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked the portrayals done by John Abraham and Boman Irani (the campy boss). Also glad there weren't predictable slapstick situations where Sam & Kunal's cover up got close to being found out. Instead, the humorous situations were in people believing them, and their having to play along! Hence, the story could progress.. until it got to the point where they had to own up and confess :) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Utterly offensive with clichéd stereotypes and jokes that have been portrayed a thousand times before in old Hollywood movies. In two words, unoriginal and cliché. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Only when Tarun [Mansukhani] gets emotion in, does the film start to drag. Mistake, because no one does tears like Karan. Ignore those bits, stay with the fun ones, and get laughing. Apr 30, 2019 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook The director is obviously confused. The second half dips badly and he resolves the mess with a senseless copout of a climax. Rated: 2/4 Jan 31, 2019 Full Review Anupama Chopra NDTV It's innocuous candyfloss. May 2, 2015 Full Review Rohan Naahar The Indian Express Crude, cringe-inducing, and a complete waste of time, Dostana is undeserving of its reputation as one of Bollywood more progressive films. Nov 25, 2023 Full Review Khalid Mohamed Hindustan Times Good taste, pop colour Miami locations, high-end costumes, make-up styling and the A-grade Dharma Productions values add up to a zingy entertainer. Rated: 3/5 May 2, 2015 Full Review Nikhat Kazmi The Times of India It's all done with an infectious zest and effervescence that keeps the ribs tickling.
