Kevin Carr Fat Guys at the Movies The film is far less formulaic than what I've seen before, and that's great to watch. Add to the fact that it appeals to boys, and I found this to be a real winner. Frank J Disney locked in with this one 🗣️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/16/24 Full Review Audience Member Going back in time is cool but how long before it catches up? This is still one of the better Disney Channel Original Movies I have to say after 15 years Jason Dolley, Luke Benward, and Nicholas Braun start high school at Summerton Yet they are at the bottom of the food chain always being picked on by bullies particularly the football players Virgil is best friends with Stephanie and Derek but they slowly drift apart because of the high school social ladder Virgil also has a crush on Stephanie but hasn't said anything Derek barely lifts a finger to remain friends with either of them as he's more into being athletically competitive and popular Genius Charlie comes up with a way to fix everything...invent a time machine so he, Virgil, and Zeke go back and prevent anyone else from getting made fun of, not just them dubbing them as Minutemen But the more they do it especially for their personal needs the more the space time continuum begins to shatter so now they have to fix it Plus NASA starts to catch onto their suspicious activities The premise is cool, all the characters are likable, plenty of relatable stuff here for teenagers too l freaking love Chelsea Staub in this Director Lev. L Spiro inserts a lot of homages to other time travel movies mainly 'Back to the Future' He's got a great looking aesthetic when it comes to costumes This is a very fun and smart movie and it uses the mentality of outcasts trying to fit in out of constant fear of humiliation tweaking social stereotypes but also looking at the consequences trying to change how things are Sometimes greedy actions lead to unintended outcomes but we can learn to always be comfortable where we are whether positive or negative Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review Joshua C This film has aged a lot better than I thought it would. It doesn't exactly blow off the hinges of creativity, but it what it does tolerably well. The film uses humor, heart, conflict, science fiction, and fleshed out characters to convey an endearing message of being a beacon of hope for the hopeless and how not to lose yourself in the process. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A little childish, but overall a great movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
