Kambole Campbell Polygon There's an undeniable appeal at its core - in its sincere approach to ridiculous concepts, in its resistance toward quipping at its own expense. Dec 18, 2020 Full Review Candice Frederick Reel Talk Online Tron: Legacy is a fun popcorn flick if you had the opportunity to catch it on the big screen, but with the digital effects downsized on a DVD format what's good about the movie doesn't emit as much of an effect. Never before have video games, or even science-fiction itself, looked as good or as sharply designed as this. Herbert N visually beautiful, but boring. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Paul S Upgraded CGI worked wonders for the world of Tron. Despite its stale dialogue and dragged-out story, this movie is truly breathtaking, and it was so much fun to watch. I definitely recommend it for sci-fi fans! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/05/25 Full Review mop h Excellently made with fantastic soundtrack. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/02/25 Full Review K F Great visuals.. for A movie... not for Tron. This isn't Tron. It could be any sci-fi film taking place in the real world. They missed the point and the experience of Tron taking you into the mainframe. They missed the beauty of all the playing with a 2-D universe we loved Tron for. There is noting cutting edge here; it's just another safe, big budget, American, brain numb movie. A real wasted opportunity. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/27/25 Full Review Blu B Suprisingly It's Good. Pretty much neck and neck with the original. The cinematography is really good and easily the best part. It does pretty much everything the original did right. It never jumps at all back to the real world and stays in the game so it nails the immersion, the speical effects/world design NAILS the look perfectly. It looks like a natural extension of the world from 82'. It looks so unique and only could belong to a world of Tron and to it's credit merges practical and CGI really well and honoring the pioneering legacy the first did. The only sore spot is the CGI of the young Bridges which...is ok at best. It does fit since it is a video game in a sense but man it looks shaky at best at times. Everything else though is solid. The first half is stronger here and as what this does right, it also has almost the EXACT same problems the first did. The plot gets a bit complex and we start to jump around between Flynn and the bad guy quite a bit. In the middle we also get quite a bit of plot expose which slows things down. But it ends just right when it starts to run out of steam also. It's a good sequel that expands on the lore and visits the same world but doesn't just repeat the first. Anyone who is a fan of the first, any actors in this, the director, or Sci-Fi will like this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/21/25 Full Review Tyler S A worthy sequel to the original Tron. While that one was visually amazing but very messy, this film was also visually amazing but pretty bland. The story was simple but predictable. Nothing special on that end, but the artistic style was very fun, and I said multiple times, "hey, that's pretty cool." I also thought some of the characterization early in the film was pretty all over the place, but things seemed to gain ground later. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Read all reviews
