Audience Member wow this film is something else. Lou Ferrigno plays a Marine wounded in battle. the head trauma results in brain damage & he leans into his hearing disability taking advantage of it to play his role like someone that has Down syndrome. that is right Lou goes full r*t**d while beating the crap out of ppl in a underground cage fighting gambling scheme. the Italian crime boss is super racist in a hilarious way. Reb Brown's character is a boomer *you mess w me & i destroy you* fantasy. he storms a latinx gang HQ & kills everyone via shotgun except the guy he's looking for who he burns alive instead. he smirks while watching. a few scenes later he's also fighting in a cage match. i like this movie very much. if you're a fan of Lou Ferrigno it's a must watch as it's his most complex acting job ever. he goes for a Lenny from Of Mice & Men x 1980s child energy. this film uses a lot of messed up slurs & i think it's funny but totally get why ppl would dislike it. It stars Lou Ferringo (The Hulk) as a brain damaged Vietnam vet who has the mentality of a child. When the underworld abruptly enters his life he is kidnapped and forced into underground cage fights. When I was 10 years old I was hooked on this movie. I had a copy taped off the tv on VHS and I can remember watching it over and over and fast forwarding through the commercials. Even at that age I remember the opening Vietnam & rehab sequences being tacky... well, over 20 years later having just watched it again, those sequences were (are) most definitely tacky. But everything that follows is actually as good as I remember it.... perhaps I am being nostalgic but I once again found myself completely engrossed in this movie. Lou Ferringo gives a sympathetic and genuine performance and the tone of the movie has that Bloodsport type of feel to it. I was chuffed to see Danny Trejo playing a young henchman and there are other familiar faces from the 80s such as James Shigeta and Al Leong which made this movie a really cool flashback for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm smart too. I got three-seventy and five-forty on the Master-Blaster Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Cage may feel a bit dated in this day & age of UFC & MMA but it is amusing to watch films from a time when no hold barred fighting was underground & run by the mafia. Now this isn't high art but I had a good time w/ it. Lou Ferrigno is a Vietnam vet who has the mental capacity of a child who gets caught up in the world of cage fighting to help his buddy out to rebuild his bar that is burnt down. Ferrigno is so simple minded it's almost embarrassing. I guess you don't want the big guy to stretch his acting legs too much when he's mostly cast for his physique. If you like shit like Kickboxer you're sure to find entertainment here in a big dumb 80s sorta way..keep an eye out for Danny Trejo in a bit role that he doesn't even get mentioned in the credits Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The touchy kind of fighting film that make you think something is up with those guys and yes you will know them if you've seen this film.
