Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times I suppose movies like this are a living for Baker, but if he wants to put together any kind of career he should choose more carefully. Rated: 1/4 Jul 10, 2018 Full Review Steve Warren The Barb (Atlanta) A bloody bad movie. May 9, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A revolting action melodrama. Rated: C- Sep 18, 2012 Full Review Chuck O'Leary FulvueDrive-in.com The final film of unsung B-movie specialist Phil Karlson is a tough-as-nails crime drama that might have attained a better reputation by now if it had the guts to end a few minutes earlier on a bleaker note. Still, a must for fans of gritty '70s fare. Rated: 7/10 Jun 15, 2008 Full Review Read all reviews

delysid d great piece of film almost as good as the great Walking Tall Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/19 Full Review Audience Member The makers of Walking Tall reunite for this. A gambler and night club owner goes to prison where card games are surprisingly lucrative. Title is a bit misleading, Baker does kill a policeman resisting arrest even if he was innocent of that charge. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Makers of WALKING TALL show there's still plenty left in the tank. Joe Don comes through with another towering performance, not a guy you want to mess with. Baker physically assaults a lot of people, including several prison guards while incarcerated. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member The makers of Walking Tall reunite for this. A gambler and night club owner goes to prison where card games are surprisingly lucrative. Title is a bit misleading, Baker does kill a policeman resisting arrest even if he was innocent of that charge. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Machismo to spare. Joe Don is the man. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Very much a product of the Watergate era, "Framed" sees Joe Don Baker used and abused by a system in which corruption is as natural as breathing. Very violent, deeply cynical and often exciting, it's well worth tracking down. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews
