Bob Thomas Associated Press A beautiful and touching film treatment of France's savior. Jun 19, 2019 Full Review THR Staff Hollywood Reporter A magnificently staged panoramic insight into the life and times of the simple French peasant girl who left such a controversial impact on history. Nov 12, 2018 Full Review Elsa Branden Photoplay It is pomp and pageantry on a spectacular scale. Rated: 3/3 Aug 20, 2021 Full Review David Parkinson Radio Times Superbly designed by Richard Day to resemble a Book of Hours, the film is a panoply of pomp, pluck, piety and patriotism that's tantamount to a Technicolor victory gift from Hollywood to liberated France after the Nazi Occupation. Rated: 3/5 Mar 5, 2021 Full Review Nathanael Hood The Retro Set ...an unequivocal bore and slog. Rated: 3/10 Jan 9, 2020 Full Review Mattie Lucas From the Front Row A solid studio production from the golden age of the Hollywood studio era, but it never really finds Joan's emotional center. Omri F I'm sure this movie was great in its time, but for a modern viewer, it just isn't entertaining enough. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Mark P Wow this is boring, bloated and factually shaky. Cant believe this is still regularly on my television in England. Ingrid Bergman is beautiful, but we know that , this film is not worthy of her talents. Swerve this lavish epic, its utterly vacuous. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/25/22 Full Review steve d A surprisingly strong version of the story. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The best inspiring movie ever made! With the best movie character ever portrayed: Ingrid Bergman as the title character! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Ingrid Bergman's strong performance as the titular French heroine and the beautiful, colourful art direction both work in tandem to provide some showing for a film that does far too much telling. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Ingrid Bergman as Joan gives a strong performance in an otherwise, average film. A compelling story of Joan of Arc, made me understand Joan's motives more than I did before, but film is too long for what it had. Didn't hold my interest and could of done more justice to Joan than it did. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
