Audience Member A slightly well acted film that kinda loses interest in the 3rd act. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member This play adaption was so hilariously awful that I don't even know why I'm bothering to review it. First of all, the acting is horrific and even annoying. Not only do the actors look like sweaty, hormonal plebs, but just about every line they utter makes me want to cringe in my seat. It's poorly staged, the costumes are awkward and uncomfortable to look at, and the entire thing is poorly-paced. I have never been a huge Shakespeare fan, but if I were, I'd think this to be a poor adaption. To paraphrase: The acting is laughable, the actors are stale, the costumes are downright weird, and the staging is poor and obviously low-budget. Never before has a film literally made me angry from how insanely stupid its cast was. I'd have to say that Juliet seems to be the absolute worst of the bunch, and I found myself looking forward to both her and Romeo's deaths.
