Ed Travis Cinapse It's a C-list film inspired by A-list tropes and will totally get your blood pumping if you recognize any of the names or films referenced here. Nov 2, 2019 Full Review Felix Vasquez Jr. Cinema Crazed Almost exactly the kind of film "Karate Kid" would have been if originally conceived in the nineties. Audience Member The acting is rough, even for 80's B-Movie entries like this. The story has some holes and the action is unintentionally comedic at times. Still, it has its moments and charms. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Wowie wee wow! Amazing unknown B-rate movie right here. If you like that kinda flick, you're gonna love this one. Look for an "energetic young fan" (row 1) at the last "showdown". Ya can't get Xtras like that anymore. And the official badge for the Pleasant Valley PD identifies one as a "Policeman Police"... nice Easter eggs. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Patrick Kilpatrick delivers one of the most heart felt and most inspirational performances, supported by the sheer brilliance of the character ï¿ 1/2Tomï¿ 1/2? played by some guy. Our hero ï¿ 1/2Ken Marksï¿ 1/2? is great as the underdog ,who gets bullied , while simultaneously being completely jacked and could easily kick the shit out of everyone in the school ,Ken must seek the guidance, honor , nobility and karate mastering of non other than Tai Bo con artrist and buisiness extortionists ,the legendary Billy Blanks if youï¿ 1/2(TM)ve never seen ï¿ 1/2The Karate Kidï¿ 1/2? this movie is truly original and inspirational. 5 stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Highly entertaining crapfest that throws every cliche at the viewer. Even better after you hit the spliff :D Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/18 Full Review Audience Member Blatant rip off of "The Karate Kid" but it still works. New kid in school draws the ire of popular thug when he becomes friendly with the thug's girlfriend. Sound familiar? This one comes complete with a beach campfire scene. It is not a complete copy, here the picked on new guy gets trained by school janitor. Does get credit for mentioning the film it rips off by name. Of note, the Vice Prinipal of this school seems to have little else to do than roaming the halls telling students what not to do. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member New kid in school falls for a girl and becomes the target of a bully trained by a 'no mercy' sensei at the local dojo. The high school janitor (Billy Blanks) trains the newcomer to defend himself. Contains a fine scene of Ken performing mundane janitorial services such as mopping the floor and scrubbing toilets under the impression it is part of his karate training. Have to admire a film that openly references the film its plot is so obviously lifted from. Moves along at a good pace and provides proof that the Karate Kid formula had enough mileage for copycats to succeed with. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
