Under Lang's direction, all performances measure up, with the character folk, headed by Harey Cairey. taking top honors. Go to Full Review

acsdoug D @acsdoug 07/12/2024 You can recognize Lang's signature style, and Sylvia Sidney is gorgeous. The story is rather weak, however, and there's this weird semi-musical number in the middle. Not my cup of tea. See more peter w 11/24/2021 Lang manages to walk that fine line between comedy and drama, although, in spite of some comedic scenes, I see it leaning towards drama given the theme of staring over after serving time with the conflicting loyalties that ensue. On the comedic side, the "honeymoon dining" scene was a charming diversion that speaks to making do in spite of challenges. As always, Lang provides striking visual images, including his early foray into Art Deco. See more ashley h @ashleyhobgood87 09/06/2020 You and Me is a decent film. It is about a department-store owner who hires ex-convicts in order to give them a second chance at life. Sylvia Sidney and George Raft give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Fritz Lang did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the romance. See more 01/18/2014 Lang's 3rd American film an odd but mostly successful mix of genres--A heck of a lot of fun!!
