troy k 2/5 Corny plot, but made well. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Well-cast adaption of the mystery novel suffers from some lethargic pacing and an intrusive musical score. The story offers twists that would give Holmes some trouble believing. If the movie had sported some atmosphere, it might have been easy to overlook some of the plot's rough spots. Its hard to fault the acting here, which is all fairly good, although no one leaps out as particularly memorable. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Intriguing tale of an expensive gem stolen from a temple, Its journey to England and the recapture and return of the gem to the temple. Includes romance mystry and murder. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member As good an adaptation of Wilkie Collins' brilliant novel as I could have hoped for. But I wish Godfrey had been more obnoxiously and angelically handsome. The actor who played him was quite good, but had a bit of a creepy air about him, which wasn't quite right for the character. Oh, and THANK YOU to whomever decided to drop the end of Ezra Jennings's angsty storyline!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
