Cally (Clea DuVall) is a moody, melancholy 17-year-old who was raised on a small commune by her father, Wade (Tomas Arana). She's never met her birth mother, but one day at a music festival Cally sees a free-spirited older woman, Sabine (Daryl Hannah), and becomes obsessed with the idea she is her mother. Cally tracks her down via a sketchy drug dealer (Eric Roberts) and throws herself into Sabine's life. Are her instincts correct? Or is Cally deluding herself?

Audience Member Clea Duvall. Automatic three stars. However, Eric Roberts -5. Daryl Hannah brings it back to a 2. However, I can't leave Clea with a mere 2!! So three it is. But really, don't waste your time. Seriously. Clea and Eric make out in seriously awkward scene. Trust. You don't want to see that. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This is one of the worst movies I have seen. I am not sure if I never noticed before but Darryl Hannah's acting is horrible. The plot is insipid though I remember some of the cinematography was good. Did not like this at all and the story was a cliche.` Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The only good thing about this movie was Clea DuValll's acting. Otherwise, it just sucked. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Getting further off track as it goes along, Wildflowers drowns DuVall's sensitive, compelling lead performance in a sea of insufferable pretension and regrettable hippie mysticism. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this film. It is a coming of age movie about a girl who tries to find her real mother. That Sabine ends up her real mother is interesting. I think the ending was a bit unrealistic, I don't think someone as headstrong as Sabine would have been so welcoming after being followed so much. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member great story about finding your true self. great acting by clea duvall and daryl hannah. they were good together on screen.
