Four fossilized former wiseguys -- Bobby Bartellemeo (Richard Dreyfuss), Joey Bats Pistella (Burt Reynolds), Mike The Brick Donatelli (Dan Hedaya), and Tony Mouth Donato (Seymour Cassel) -- face eviction from the semi-squalor of the Raj Mahal home on an otherwise posh strip of shore. The crew hatches a seemingly simple scheme to save their retirement residence.

Critics Consensus

Though the four actors are good together, the jokes are stale and not funny.

Steve D Nowhere near as funny as it should be, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a alright movie, a lot of people gave it a bad review. Kind of cute, kind of funny lacks a bit. A bunch of old "gansters" get together later in life and relive the good old days. I recorded it on a blank type for my bf who loves this movie and watches it a lot. The tape broke and I re bought him it on Amazon on d.v.d. for like under $10.00 so if looking to buy you can get it there cheap, not my fave movie but I'll go in and out watching it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member 11/5/2016: Very disappointing considering the wonderful cast. The storyline wasn't too bad, but this comedy wasn't really funny at all. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Harmless fun, even if it's a bit stale and pedestrian. It's the great cast and their chemistry that make it worth viewing once. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member ***Due to the recent RT changes that have basically ruined my past reviews, I am mostly only giving a rating rather than a full review.*** Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Frances H Funny flick I enjoyed, as opposed to too many downers that they make now that critics go crazy about. Great cast. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/25/14 Full Review Read all reviews
