Gareth v A movie that long suffering sports fans (particularly Arsenal fans) can relate to. Funny and highly entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/20/23 Full Review meredith w Not as slick as its later US remake, but a very British film that maintains the Nick Horby sensibility of its source material of how a sports fan's romantic relationship clashes with his obsession with his favourite football team. Colin Firth is always appealing, even when his character is behaving in unlikeable ways. And you don't have to be a football fan to enjoy its story, which can translate to any obsession, not just one that is sports related. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A very funny, heart warming story of love (football and romantic) which a lot of people won't like because of the club, but anyone who remembers their first game, will know how & why people fall in love with football....no matter who the club are. This film shows the importance of football, but as/more importantly, the importance of love! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting to watch Colin Firth portraying a badass character. He reminds me of the majority of mexican men who get brainwashed through a C class soccer league. A movie with flaws, but with some kind of soul. At least now I know If I ever go to England, which kind of people I should avoid. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
