Matthew H @cineman9736 23h This gripping movie is a too near reality look at the trauma young children and mothers,women ,face at the wrong hands, either abusive spouses or boyfriends or juvenile foster care, in young Tommy's case. I could only watch a few minutes From the start i witnessed a battered woman without Hollywood special affects taking away from it. I saw also Tommy enjoying a sandwich and talk with his school friend ,remind me of my past school experience, mostly good. Like these two and their conversations. I know the film deals with serious abuse against the boy Tommy i had no strength to watch that. I had seen enough to convince me it was a honest veryvwell acted portrait of the dramatic but traumatic more seriously, lives of 10 year old children (or any child less in age ,a little mire im age,and the teen. So glad and grateful my dad cares for loves my mom)and mothers,women. See more Matthew writ H May 13 This movie is excellent. Don't see it if you want light hearted simple stuff. It's not for entertainment. It is a gripping drama that was too real for me to watch yet it is so much more respectful of the dignity of the child , this boy "Tommy." I felt as if they were taking kids , children seriously and treating child abuse seriously instead of a big high emotionally on a episode of so and so. There's no self gratification from watching it only soul searching, emotions piecing them together to make sure you get it. ...you will. Thank you for making this film from a man who was abused at age 10 himself. (I watched the opening scene after the very artistic historical beginning, the part where the woman is , battered in her bed crying holding the baby ...that's about all I watched except for a minute probably less of Tommy being driven in his family SUV the modern station wagon somewhere and he looked out the window it reflects his heart that he's a human even when young. I stopped the movie there and it was only part of the movie a clip I saw on YouTube. But I am glad this movie was produced,made. I'm glad the LeGault guy was a benefactor a true friend to Tommy. Thank you for making this film from a man who was sexually abused when he was 10. Physical abuse is just as serious . I actually think that would make people see how sexual abuse is serious. Neither are a joke or a lightheaded thing. Yet your movie honestly gave me and always will more hope that people can see the depths of someone soul they are capable of caring and therefore love like a love a mother and a father would have.
