Entertainment Weekly Rated: A Sep 12, 1999 Full Review Brian Gibson Vue Weekly (Edmonton, Alberta) Beyond its feral glances, whipping pace, and unlikeable but hypnotically watchable anti-hero (much like the Dardennes' protagonists), The Little Thief's greatest ingenuity is its view of crime as hard work. A eviter par petit moral cependant ;) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a film that should be shown to rebellious teenagers. Esse is fed up of being someone's slave and decides to join a gang of petty thieves who initiate him to kickboxing and use him to do little jobs until things escalate. A good moral on how organized crime is far from being glorious especially when you're at the bottom of the ladder and how there are inequalities inside just like the system we live in which at least offers more constructive ways to rebel.
