Critics Consensus

All or Nothing's depiction of the working-class can be depressingly bleak, but the performances are wonderfully true to life.

Anton Bitel Little White Lies Leigh cuts between and through the potential soapiness of these different family dramas to show a broader mosaic of the human condition, defined by birth, death, and all - or nothing - that happens in between. Jennifer C Most boring movie I've ever watched. Maybe it's my adhd but I can't stand it. And it's annoying to me. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/24 Full Review Audience Member This film is riddled with wretched, pathetic, hopeless losers. Jeez, these people. Never knew Corden looked like that, but it adds to the slovenly mess of a human he is. Are these people your general viewers will like/care about? Most likely not, but the actors- Manville (always so good), Spall (houndog as hell), Sheen, Mays as a right hooligan meathead, and a hot young Sally Hawkins- take what would be morose overkill in the hands of lesser players and transcend that ill fate. With Leigh's assured guidance, All or Nothing and its cast bring to life people 'real as few movie characters ever are' made for a movie which, while you may not see it again, you know is a quite worthy film made by skilled artists just doing what makes them great. 3.7 stars Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review nefasto r A painful watch. Not much more to say about it. What gives beauty to this work, is the same thing that makes is difficult to watch. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member some of the best acting in cinema Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member The picture is wrong. It's a depressing movie... Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
