I'll give Halloween Night two stars because it did pass the time. Quality and writing-wise? Horrible. Not too horrible though. Looking at the title fonts, and the basic plot synopsis will make you think that it's a Halloween knock-off and it is, but not exactly. It's 50% Halloween, and I guess 40% The Burning. Both are much superior films. But is this one bad? Yes and no. It's good in a way that makes it bad and it's bad in a way that makes it good if you catch my drift. The makeup effects are nothing to write home about, but eh, they do the trick. The plot is a bit deeper than I expected. I guess that's something? The direction is the main problem. It's so dull and flavorless to the point it's almost nonexistent. Speaking of nonexistent, the atmosphere is very lacking. Again, to the point it's nonexistent. And that is a huge problem for a film, especially a film that has potential. The acting isn't as bad as many say it is, but it still could be better. Overall, I'd say it's a bad film that could've been ok if it wasn't flooded with errors and problems. 2/10 because it's just...Bad...It's just bad. No other way to put it.

The plot is about a man who escapes a maximum-security asylum and hunts down a bunch of teenagers partying in his childhood home. The killers' name is Chris Vale, he witnesses his mother get r*ped and killed, he then stupidly runs from his hiding spot to hide by a pipe, when the two men see that the woman is still alive, they shoot her and the bullet hits a pipe causing steam to just magically appear out of the pipe and burn him alive. His father covered all of this up and committed suicide and Chris was sent to an insane asylum. The acting isn't too bad for the most part but the characters were still uninteresting nonetheless. There is no atmosphere, tension, or suspense to be found in this movie, it all just falls flat on its face. They sometimes rip off Halloween, but hey this film was made by a film company that makes knockoff films. Also the killer looked like a walking corpse! LOL!

Halloween Night is alright except when the actors are so so worst at acting but the kills are freaking brutal (which I love kills), there's some sex scenes. It's like a rip off of Halloween and Friday the 13th. Spoiler Alert!! My favorite scene is when Chris Vale (killer) killed a drunken troll custom by a sword in the head and retrieve the sword from his head by pushing his body to the Halloween Decor. Also, after the Cops shuts down the party, people start walking pass a dead troll and think he passed out. If you like trash but have the best Brutal kills then this is the movie.

Extremely Bad Slasher Flick, In Which Slasher Fans Would Probably Enjoy. This Film Is Heavily Clichéd, Has A Bad Script, Plot And Cast Performances. The Asylum Are Known For Their B-Movies, Sadly This Isn't One Of Their Decent Releases. This Mockbuster Of Halloween, See's An Escaped Psychopath Targeting Some Party Goers, Who Just Happen To Be In His Childhood Home. This Brings Nothing New To The Genre, But Still Features, The Bad Plot And Clichés Which Fans Of The Genre Enjoy.

The made-for-video horror industry has pretty much recycled six basic plots into oblivion by now, but the simply titled "Halloween Night" is just about the worst offender I've seen in a while. This extremely derivative film is a thinly disguised rip-off of John Carpenter's seminal holiday classic, as the title would suggest, but it also brings to mind other classics in the genre such as "Friday the 13th" as well.
Now all of that might have worked had the film at least been entertaining, but the direction by Mark Athens is sluggish and the entire picture is full of plot holes and inconsistencies. Chris Vale, the film's homicidal maniac played by Scot Nery, is given a very slight backstory about witnessing the death of his mother in which his father is implicated, but that's never really explained. His make-up is not consistent with that of a burn victim, but that's a minor distraction after a while.
The acting is probably the film's greatest detriment, and it ranges from passable to terrible. At least most of the girls are hot and not afraid to get topless which is enough of a diversion from their acting. Many of these people read their lines like they're hearing them for the first time, and clearly there was no time for rehearsals.
About the nicest thing I can think to say about it is that the special effects are decent, as most of the murders are appropriately gruesome. At least the film doesn't fail its audience in that department, but the rest of "Halloween Night" is completely forgettable. Movies like this are a dime a dozen, and this one failed to make much of an impression on me.
