Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is an office worker whose life is going nowhere. After his estranged father is murdered, he meets Fox (Angelina Jolie), who recruits him into the Fraternity, a secret society of assassins which takes its orders from Fate itself. Fox and Sloan (Morgan Freeman), the Fraternity's leader, teach Wesley to tap into dormant powers. Though he enjoys his newfound abilities, he begins to suspect that there is more to the Fraternity than meets the eye.

"Wanted" barely gives Angelina Jolie anything to do, and yet it's her rare blockbuster to appropriately regard her pull as nigh-inexplicable magic. When Jolie shows up here, the alchemy of the narrative completely changes. You know it. She knows it.

There’s no smarts behind it, merely style and spectacle, and Bekmambetov just runs with it. He’s not concerned with making it look real, just with making it look really cool and letting the audience decide if they’re in the mood to play his game.

Wanted is a 14 year-old boy's fantasy - being given $3 million, a gun and Angelina Jolie as company. Your viewpoint of the film will depend on how well you can suspend disbelief and your opinions on casual violence.

This movie had a very unique directing style to it and I kind of liked it. There were some pretty entertaining scenes and sequences. Some things are for sure quite silly and far-fetched but overall this is a good and wild popcorn film to appreciate! The cast was cool to see throughout the film too and I was not expecting that specific twist in the plot to take place right before the 3rd act. Not the best but not awful for what it is!

I frickin’ love this movie… is it ridiculous? Absolutely… but it’s fun and it has a great cast including James McAvoy in the first role I remember seeing him in. The story is quite good and the concept is intriguing. It is well paced and contains some of the most wild and memorable action sequences to this day.

Brainless action movies are fun, but this one…was so bad it made Bad Boys 2 look like an Oscar winning film. None of the characters were believable nor relatable and the only character I found myself rooting for was the conclusion of the movie. I literally found myself saying the word “stupid” out loud so many times that I started to question my sanity for not turning it off.
