Self-reformed petty criminal Terry Leather (Jason Statham) has become a financially struggling car dealer and settled into a pedestrian London life with his wife and kids, but takes the plunge into big crime when his ex-girlfriend, Martine (Saffron Burrows), turns up with an offer to pull off a lucrative bank heist. The first half is particularly strong, and while none of the pre-heist team building or preparations are anything we haven't seen many times before these scenes are handled with such dynamic virtuosity they almost feel original and new.

BLAST!! Just wish they had wrapped up the heist part a bit quicker and jumped straight into the delicious blackmail game. With a bit more violent spice and some cinematic liberty even though it's based on true events - the intensity would have shot up, making this an absolute masterpiece. Still loved it. What a ride!
