kevin c Thomas Middleditch plays an awkward loser who meets a beautiful carnival hustler played by Rachael Taylor and begin a unconventional friendship which doesn't sit well with her bully of a boyfriend played by Dean Winters. This had some pretty funny moments and dialogue. Pretty entertaining movie, with Rachael Taylor being the standout Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable in its dorkiness, but not enough to make it stand out from the similar themed movie "Adventureland". Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute movie! Galaxy is adorablez. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Max on #Netflix found this one for us to watch tonight. Actually wasn't a bad movie. Check it out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member 76% "What are you diong drinking with carny folk?"-Justin Frost (Thomas Middleditch) The kid is beyond dorky, making the blossoming relatationship with Galaxy harder to accept (he would have been great in HOT ROD). The last ten minutes go off the deep end, in RAISING ARIZONA fashion. "Oh Susan, I've spent the last year waiting to die. Now, all of a sudden, I'm given an award for living!"-Albert Hale (Edmund Lyndeck) Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't hate it, but I feel like it was a very watered down version of Adventureland, but on the bright side it talks about GEOCACHING!!!! Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle Amiable and proficient, this indie romantic comedy is never more or less than reliable. Rated: 2/5 Nov 13, 2009 Full Review V.A. Musetto New York Post Splinterheads might suffice some late night on cable, but that's about it. Rated: 1/4 Nov 6, 2009 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times A shaggy comedy with more heart than heft. Rated: 3/5 Nov 6, 2009 Full Review Mike Russell Oregonian The leads have no chemistry; the supporting cast of carnies and eccentrics is bland; the staging is dull; not a single gag lands; and Justin and Galaxy's one get-to-know-you conversation is never heard because it's buried in a road trip music montage. Rated: D- Nov 12, 2009 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Amusing, lively and imaginative with terrific, crisp cinematography, but it's often too cartoonish, convoluted, juvenile and low on laughs. Rated: 5.25/10 Nov 8, 2009 Full Review Prairie Miller NewsBlaze Boasts loads of playful characters, kooky conversations and gorgeous visuals in the suburban wilds to spare. Not to mention the reputed oldest man in the world, Frankie Faison as unlikely boy toy, and a crazed cop with the pathological hots for Mom. Nov 2, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews
